Ex-FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried Pleads Not Guilty

According to a Reuters report, Sam Bankman-Fried, the FTX exchange former CEO, has pleaded not guilty to fraud and conspiracy charges in his first court appearance since his bail was revoked in August. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn presided over the hearing in the Southern District of New York courthouse.

Bankman-Fried, presently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, has filed concerns with his legal team over his treatment. They allege that he was denied access to his prescribed ADHD medicine, Adderall and that officials refused to supply the requested vegan diet.

Previously, US District Judge Lewis Kaplan revoked Bankman-Fried's bond in August for alleged witness tampering. Despite the stringent constraints, the court has decided to enable SBF to consult with his lawyers during the week.

Bankman-Fried, accused of diverting billions of dollars in customer funds for personal gain, agrees to some risk management errors but categorically denies allegations of theft.
