OpenAI Employees Call for Board Resignation

The recent firing of OpenAI founder Sam Altman has prompted a staff mutiny, with 505 of their 700 employees seeking the board's resignation.

The staff's signed letter was leaked on social media, expressing significant concerns about the board's decision. Staff also claimed this event influences negatively their artificial intelligence program, ChatGPT. ChatGPT currently has over 100 million active users.

Workers claim the board is undermining the company's objective and putting all of their hard work at risk. They argue that the best course of action to restore stability is for the board to quit and replace it with a new, competent board.

Charges of inconsistently open communication led to Altman's dismissal on November 17. The following day, Greg Brockman was dismissed from his chair, which immediately sparked protests from investors.

Amid the chaos, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella revealed promptly that Altman and Brockman would be leading a new AI team as his industry leader.
