Due to regulatory uncertainty, digital neobank Revolut will suspend its cryptocurrency-related services in the United States starting next month.
Users will no longer be allowed to execute cryptocurrency buy orders from September 2. The suspension will become much more stringent on October 3, when US consumers won't be able to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency.
Revolut claims that this choice was made in reaction to the changing regulatory environment and concerns surrounding the US crypto industry in conjunction with its partner bank.
This suspension solely affects Revolut users in the US. There are no changes to how customers from other markets can sign up for and use Revolut's crypto services.
